A Melbourne kiter used work as an excuse to kite on the surfcoast this week, clear Covid breach, I know it's frustrating for you guys but look at what's happened in Sheparton area.

Please stay home and abide by restrictions, welcome back when you can, cheers

Been happening bayside for the last couple of months lots of people we know who live more than 5k from the beach. Coming in kiting getting back in their cars and going whence they came. Kiting is a good social distance sport and you are allowed to exercise when you are working away from home.
lifes been hard for some and what's good for the soul is good for the mind.
137 active cases in 6.7million people is a 0.0000002% chance of contact and those with are meant to be under Dans lock and key safely indoors.

Perhaps you could claim exemption as artistic expression...

No isn't the standard response " I can't recall", "I don't remember", "I'll have to get back to you on that"

It really sucks in the West, we only got a couple of days over the school holidays and had to drive +1000km.

That was an epic clip GH! I'm heading over to Gnaraloo July next year for a
post-pandemic surf/kite adventure..... assuming your borders are open?? A launch/land spot looks MIA? What's your most used kite size? Cheers

July you should get some great surf, but you will be lucky to get any wind.

The Kite Beach is a 200/300m north of tombstones, hate the upwind tack at the start. There is a spot just south, that I have used in the past but it not the safest launch/landing location.

Maybe the guy doesn't live near a beach. Maybe that's his usual go to. If he doesn't stop along the way, kites and goes home, I don't see a problem.

or alternatively go to a blm protest and you will be celebrated and encouraged as a national hero. Definitely don't go kite by yourself or even with a friend with massive space requirements caused from flying a kite. That's a no no, its exercise which promotes health and helps the body fight such viruses and helps mental health but stay home get unhealthy or go to random Marxist protests and you'll be good

Wouldn't stress. Whole thing is a joke. My company lost a tender to a Melbourne company for a job in south east south Australia. So there is a Melbourne civil crew working in a regional part of Sa for essential services? When locals are losing jobs to them?

Only a few people got COVID from the BLM marches and it was because the organizers then went out to dinner together so it's ok. BLM lives don't matter.

He does live near a bayside kite beach, but also comes from the Melbourne Western suburbs that had some of the highest Covid positives in Victoria including community transmission whereas we had none, that's the problem, and his problem will be the $1650 fine.
