After adding deck padding in front of the front foot straps (see pic) on my Goya Bolt and liking it, I am thinking of filling in the T-shaped area between the front and rear foot strap padding with deck padding to make a level surface so during foiling jibs my foot stays level and the surface stays the same. So I would cover "Bolt" and the board specs. What do you think?

Why pads for foiling ?
IMHO it only hides cracks that may appear on the deck.

I am bias as ride strapless and love a full deck pad. My new custom board does not even have foot strap plugs and a full deck pad behind the mast track.

I've done it on a formula board (used for foiling) instead of re doing the grip. I was surprised how good it is for the jibe or the high wind downwind.

Hess and Jusavina thanks, saw not sure if it was a good idea or not, but sounds like it is.

Thanks for the great idea. How is your DT holding up? I have some black crocodile pattern EVA decking that I might use. Looks like your nose got fudged?

You make a good point as while flying there really is no benefit other than maybe a slightly softer ride but its not like windsurfing. For me I want a board I can up haul to take advantage of using a small sail, so its all about my knees and elbows when I climb aboard.
I recommend the full deck pad as I found, riding strapless, that with pads only at the foot straps I lost traction when my foot was half on the pad.
Just my 2 cents worth

I was thinking it would be helpful for the board deck to be level between foot pads so when I do a foiling jib I can slide my feet around, instead of having to lift them from the deck to the slightly higher foot pad area. Like the 2020 Fanatic Stingray board.

I agree as, I find one level surface easier to move around on as well as providing a more consistent grip. I have gone without any deck padding and full deck padding. I prefer full deck padding behind the mast tract as its just nicer on the knees when I climb on to up haul.

Have an Exocet RF, deck is fully padded from just behind the sail mast to rear of board, and from side to side, just like Hess has on his custom board and (I think) most foil specific boards like Slingshots. The RF also has a raised "spine" in middle of rear foot area to help give feedback on rear foot placement without looking down. Works well.
